This past weekend I had the honour of photographing the beautiful wedding of Doninique and Jonah.   When I first met this couple months ago we instantly hit it off and I knew it was going to be a great wedding to photograph! What’s not to love about a wedding full of life, sweet details, and a wonderful intimate group of family and friends to share it with?

The bride and groom got ready at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa.  The hotel room had a beautiful view of Parliament Hill and provided a great background for photographs!

The Ceremony and reception took place at The Courtyard Restaurant in Ottawa  which lent to the intimate setting and theme. The staff was so friendly and the food was amazing! 

We took a bit of time wandered around the lovely Byward Market for a few creative photographs! 

Some of my favorite wedding vendors also participated in making this wedding extra special!  The cupcakes were made by my favorite cupcake store ever!! Isobels located in New Edinburgh on Beechwood!  If you live in the Ottawa area or are visiting I highly recommend you pop in for a few treats!   Flowers were done by Full Bloom located in the Glebe and were beautifully done…classy and elegant!  And last but certainly not least the DJ, DJJOE  was AMAZING!  And I am not just saying that because Dominique and Jonah seem to share my taste in music!  The dinner music was perfect and he did a great job getting the party started as well.

I travelled back to Orillia recently to work and had some free time to visit with friends.  While having coffee with my girlfriend, I snapped a few photos of her beautiful daughters.  They were so great to work with….and I have always loved taking photos on the checkered  kitchen floor!   I miss my Orillia friends!  

I wanted to share a few photos from a beautiful wedding that I photographed recently at a cottage!    It was an  intimate event shared by close friends and family.  The bride and groom were so easy going and the day was so relaxed and fun.    We even had a suprise visit from some swans.  Enjoy the sneak peak! 

This summer I had the opportunity to work with Elyse and Ryan as they said their vows during an intimate ceremony at the Arboretum in Ottawa.  The couple had met at the arboretum years before while walking their dogs (who introduced them!).  I love their “how they met” story and will post it for you later!   For now…here are some of my favorite shots from the day. 

I always love shooting portraits of children and families.  Recently I photographed a family with three boys during an Ottawa area photography session.    The boys were so much fun to work with and kept me laughing the whole time!   They all had great personalities and they made my job so easy.   I love capturing kids being kids!

I was so happy this summer when an old high school friend contacted me about my childrens portrait special!  I hadn’t seen Heather since grade 12! (I won’t age us by telling you how many years ago that was!).  It was so nice to visit and catch up as well as meet and photograph her two year old daughter as well as her neices and nephew!  They were all fun to work with…and I loved  following around the kids capturing them being…kids!

This weekend I travelled back to my hometown of Orillia to photograph a wedding of a really sweet couple Carly and Greg.  I loved everything about their wedding!  It was fun, relaxed and beautifully put together…. I have the greatest, sweetest clients!
